Dr. Abou Khan is a distinguished scholar and public policy expert with a proven record of excellence across academia, media, and public administration. He holds an HTC in Education, a BSc in Management, and both an MSc and PhD in Public Administration.
Over the years, Dr. Khan has served with distinction as an educator, shaping minds and nurturing leadership; as a media practitioner with the Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS), amplifying informed national discourse; and as a seasoned tax expert, contributing to effective fiscal governance and institutional reforms.
Renowned for his analytical depth and strategic insight, Dr. Khan brings to the Institute for Policy and Governance a rare blend of intellectual rigor, administrative experience, and policy innovation, all dedicated to advancing good governance and sustainable development of the public and private sector.
Mr. Baboucarr Joof is an accomplished professional whose career reflects a deep commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound financial governance. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and a Master of Science in Public Administration.
Mr. Joof's professional experience bridges both the private and development sectors. He currently serves as a trained auditor with DT Associates, an international audit and consulting firm, where he provides expert oversight on financial compliance and corporate governance. Prior to this, he worked as an accountant with The Gambia's largest microfinance institution, contributing to financial inclusion and institutional growth.
At the Institute for Policy and Governance, Mr. Joof combines his financial expertise with his understanding of public administration to promote integrity, efficiency, and evidence-based policy reform in national and regional development processes.
